Experiments of Struggle stitches together a collective narrative, comprised of stories from activists living in a small town. They spoke about challenges of beginning, intergenerational activism and making a just, fair community. Even though many of them had participated in sit-ins, circulated petitions, created citizen review boards, fought off corporate influences in educational settings and more, their stories unraveled the vulnerability bound up in becoming involved, and the risks of not participating. For each person, history, theory, and action were tied, and one could not overcome inertia without them.
